It's hard to tell while playing so I was wondering. What happens to a soldiers axe when he receives his sharp axe? Seems to me it should go back to HQ or a warehouse to be assigned to a new recruit. I don't know if this happens but I think it should work that way. This concept applies to all weapons and armors of course. When the Ranger Hut is built and occupied, do I still need a road to it? Looks like the only way I really need a road is for a builder to dismantle it. Top Quote |

Reusing weapons: see https://wl.widelands.org/forum/topic/1597/ To your second question: The roads to rangers/foresters, gamekeepers and fish breeders can be destroyed once the building is occupied. More specifically, roads are important because they transport goods (wheat from the farm to the warehouse, logs from the the warehouse to the sawmill, etc.) and workers. But the ranger/forester, gamekeeper, and fish breeders don't produce or consume goods (and only receive a worker the one time), which is why they work fine without roads once the worker is there.
