Could you check in both windowed and fullscreen mode whether there's any difference? Also, could you tell us which desktop environment/window manager you are using? I really don't know what would cause this, but maybe some part of the system has the same keyboard shortcuts and intercepts it before it makes its way to Widelands. Ships! Top Quote |

I hope you don't mess up number keys and numpad keys. I guess numpad numbers won't work. Could you verify that please? Top Quote |

Yes, numpad keys won't work because the game checks for SDLK_0 to SDLK_9. And I probably can't access those on my keyboard. Developers: could you possibly add SDLK_KP0 to SDLK_KP9 for quick navigation? Top Quote |

Is there also a shortcut to display the elapsed game time? First I tried "T", then the other simple keys (without shift and ctrl) but didn't find one. This could be useful for bug reports with attached replays, to indicate at which time the problem occured. It came to my mind recently as I had the "soldier stuck in battle animation" bug in one of the campaigns. Edit: Ok, I found a wishlist entry in the bugtracker for game time display: https://bugs.launchpad.net/widelands/+bug/566729 Edited: 2014-03-04, 18:37

You can use the statistic window to give an approximate time. But there is a bug in the time display: https://bugs.launchpad.net/widelands/+bug/1243700 "Only few people know how much one has to know in order to know how little one knows." - Werner Heisenberg Top Quote |

Thank you for the hint with the statistics windows. For longer games it seems to be not very accurate, but still better than nothing. Top Quote |

The most accurate possibility is to save the game. If you try to open saved game you have a prevew with an image of map, exact time and winning conditions. But it is not an easy way to do that during the play. Then you should save in one window, open the game in second window (independent program!) and try to load game there (only preview). einstein13 |

Is there somewhere a list or similar to all shortcuts? All = global, in the editor and special windows I want to make such an Wikiarticle, which lists all available shortcuts. By now i have to read all articles to obtain those information. Some articles have such a list as table (example), but some hide this information in textblocks (example) which is hard to read. Having one article for all shortcuts will make it easier to maintain shortcuts. Fight simulator for Widelands: |

The editor shortcuts are in the editor readme, and the game shortcuts in the main/game readme. I would say don't document them in detail on the wiki, but refer to the in-game help. This way we can't forget to update the wiki when we create new shortcuts. Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |

I remember that during the normal play using "pause break" key pause the game. When I try the game on my Virtual Machine (Ubuntu) it doesn't work. Is it an issue of new (dev) Widelands or probably my VM? einstein13 |
