Hello, i have trouble opening replays from tournament 2015 i downloaded from the WL homepage. I have both files (.wgp and .wrpl) in the WL replay directory but i cant see them in the replay menu in game and when i double-click the savegame file, a new widelands window opens and instantly closes down.

I have build 18 release and im sure i have the map the game was played on. I use windows 7. Thank you for advice. Sincerely Trey

Did you want to watch a replay from build18 or one played with a later version (i.e., what does the zip file you downloaded end with)? You need the exact same version, as indicated at https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/WLTournamentTwentyFifteen/#replays.

If you are sure you have the correct version of Widelands for the replay, could you please post here which replay is the one in question?

I did not realise there is a newer version then build 18. i have the newest one from https://wl.widelands.org/wiki/Download/ and i can watch Group1TeamC(blue,red)vsKuvastin(yellow,green)_part1of2_b18.wrpl but i still cant run Group 2 Team whynstein series ( Group2_Whynstein(blue,red)vsGebruederFuerchterlich(yellow,green)r7358.wrpl ). Do they play with another version? Is it avalible to download?

There are the official release builds (like build 18) and there are newer ones. These are mentioned on the download page as unofficial development builds. For windows they can be downloaded here: http://widelands.8-schuss.de/

Unfortunately there is only the latest one available. I don't think you can get older development builds.

The game you wanted to watch was played with version 7358. This is indicated in the filename by the r7358. This means you're out of luck here face-sad.png

it's a shame face-sad.png playing with the stable version should be a rule in official tournaments

I can understand you. I couldn't watch all the replays, too. In the announcement they usually mentioned the version they will use. So you can geht the right one.

On the other hand the tournament is not only to have fun but also helps testing the current development versions and find bugs. And this will improve the next official build.

Hey!

I still have those Tino's exe files. If you want any of them, just write to me (private message is the best). I can try to share it somehow. I have several versions (not every) from the oldest 6958 to the newest face-wink.png

Why do we need to play tournament with trunks? Because we want to see the bugs and report it. This is the best way: fun and work at once face-smile.png
