Hi All I remember playing Widelands 10? years ago an would like to have another go. Anyway I can not install it. I keep on getting a message that "The setup file are corrupted. Please obtain a new copyof the program." I have downloaed it for a second time so I doubt that that is the issue Any avdice? I use winows 8 J

Hi and Welcome Zebu! Did you download the following file: https://launchpad.net/widelands/build18/build-18/+download/widelands-build18-win32.exe ? It has been published quite some time, so it should be ok. Perhaps Launchpad has some issues at the moment...

I also have this problem sometimes, I think it is due to bad internet connection/too much traffic. The download just stops after some time. When I try to install Widelands, I get the error message mentioned above. Another symptom is that the downloaded file is smaller than indicated on the webpage. You have to wait some time before trying again. If it still does not work, try http://widelands.8-schuss.de/. If that works, it is a problem of Launchpad. The builds on the linked page are current development builds with new features, but potentially unstable.
