Move the map file to ${HOME}/.widelands/maps directory. In Windows, you should find the ".widelands" at my documents or so, might depend on which version of windows are you using. Then the downloaded map should be visible in your list of maps when starting a new game. Maps are sorted by number of player slots. Top Quote |

Go to your own files: start menu -> your name at upper right corner of the start menu -> open personal folder. In the personal folder, you find Downloads. At least Internet Explorer puts downloaded files there, if you selected save. From the Downloads folder, you should find the map file. If you right-click, and select show details, the explorer might even recognize the correct file as Widelands mapfile. Open another copy of your personal folder. From there, open ".widelands" (note the dot), and from there open sub-folder maps. Drag & drop the map file to maps folder. Start widelands, start a new game. Edited: 2013-07-30, 07:24
