I'm having trouble with fullscreen and I'm also new here. So, I enabled fullscreen for a better view, but the game stayed black. I didn't receive this problem in the windowed view, but only in fullscreen. Has anyone stumbled upon this problem? Is there a solution? Also I did a fresh reinstall, but the game automatically went on fullscreen. Can anyone tell how to put it back on windowed mode?

Welcome to the forum. :-)

Could you please answer following questions:
1. Which version of Widelands are you using?
2. Which OS do you have?

For setting the mode back: In your home should be a folder .widelands and there you should find a config. In there is a line fullscreen="true", set it to "false" and it should work.

Two is the oddest prime.
