I agree with this... Even after playing for a while, I still expect the road to stay there when removing a middle flag, but maybe that's just because I've played The Settlers for almost two decades and that's exactly how it was in that game. Also, when a flag is removed, any wares sitting on that flag should be destroyed, also as it was in The Settlers. "That" should be the penalty for removing a flag, not that you have to wait for new carriers and minutes more for another beast of burden to decide that it needs to arrive.

I dont think, the programmers really want to implement such a kind of feature. For me it would be enough not to destroy the road while pulling down the flag. The important thing in life is to have a great aim, and the determination to attain it.
