Hi, I love playing widelands, but often while playing against AI the situation happens that the AI is building military buidlings, but is not able to produce soldiers, so the buidlings remain empty. It is not possible to attack those buildings.

Furthermore, often it is not possible to decrease the territory of the enemy, so there is not way to attack those players, because there is no buidling which can be attacked.

I guess im not the only one who is experiencing this.

what about introducing a time-limit, in which a military building can be empty and afterwards it will be attackable, or even destroy itself. An other way around would be a "tank" or smth. movable from which attacks can be deployed.

what do you guys think about it?

Military buildings with no soldiers in them have no influence on territory at all. You will probably want to build a bigger military building close to the border.

to expand a bit: there are military buildings that contain soldiers, and they are farther from the border. but you need to be able to see them to attack them.

a fortress or castle has a conquering range of 12, which means that only another castle or a tower close to the border willl be able to see them; otherwise, you have to build scouts

Maybe we should add scouts to the military tutorial?
