Is it acceptable to play trunk also? I guess it would be a little easier in trunk because of ixprefects recent fixes to lumberjacks. I am attempting this now with the Empire in trunk.

Okay, my attempt with the empire: I got the you won this game message at 2:27. I realized that the empire have a harder time to build up this early pressure because they depend so much on marble which is hard to get by. I will retry with barbarians and report back face-wink.png

Cleaning up all those buildings after the HQs are destroyed is annoying, especially when you can't see an opponent's building that was "behind" the HQ face-wink.png

How about promoting this challenge on the front page of widelands? I know that there are a lot of things that could be implemented to make the challenge more fair. Here are some examples: - Ability to constantly see game time (I do not know anywhere else to see it than when saving and reloading the game) - Turning off the ability to build things while the game is on pause. It would probably be more efficient to pause the game so a lot of buildings are created at once in the beginning. I would consider this cheating for this challenge as it makes the game boring. - Ability to submit the score and the statistics of the game to a server, without sending the whole savegame, as this would enable competitors to see exactly where all the building were placed.

I however, believe that it would be cool to make the challenge official to get it started. The features can come later.

SirVer, it should be legal to play using trunk as well, as this is a good way to get the newest features tested and their impact on the time it takes for the best players to complete the level. I am guessing that the lumberjack improvement should reduce the time needed with something like five minutes.

If wares went the shortest way (if the shortest way was recalculated every few seconds), this should reduce the time with about ten minutes I am guessing.

I tried playing using trunk. The result was 1 hour and 14 minutes. I believe the lumberjack patch had a lot to do with it as they were not running on nearly 100%

I'm down to 1:28 in my latest attempt. Somehow, I always spend the last 10 minutes of the game cleaning up remaining mess. Perhaps I should build some forward warehouses to make that go slightly faster?

Maybe, though I do not do that. Takes some extra construction to fill the warehouse with something useful. Or maybe you want to use it for soldiers? I think it takes me about 10 minutes to clean up the last two or so military buildings, as well.
