The pattern of the trees behind the empire weapon smithy looks too blurry, I think in comparison with the other trees and with the details of the house itsself. Also, where does the shadow on the south-western wall come from?

I just noticed this, when trying the replacments for the iron ingot pictures...

the shadow is a texturing error in the model I think. Could you do a bug about that? The trees are a separate issue. We simply don't have a better model for trees...

Will file a bug report, then. What about the growing trees? Can't you just inlcude 3 firs in that place?

The trees that we have, are not usable? They might have some issues (like the unsoftened shadow and the uniform height as adults) but they are better than what we have in place at the weapon smithy, aren't they?

afaik the trees we have are 2D only, so we cannot include them in 3D Models.

Here is a case in point for my desire to establish 3D models for the trees (like what we've started for the Barbarian buildings.) 3D Blender models would easily accommodate this type of application and be far easier to edit elements like shadows and animate the trees as needed.

That reminds me of something, that nearly slipped!
Alexia has done the Blackland trees as blender files AFAIK.
Can you confirm that Chuck - have you got them?

I regret to announce that I can locate no blender models of ANY trees for any of the worlds in our repository other than those which appear in other models (like the Empire weapon smithy, certain farms, etc.)
If Alexia has her original models and can make them available, it would be a good start on building a library of Blender tree models.

Not sure, Alexia has kept them, but they were her work.
Look here.
