Playing the Spider map that has a lot of small rivers one of my expedition ships found a place to put a port. However, the port was placed at the wrong side of the river, where the enemy was and not at 'my' side of the river. Of course it was immediately destroyed. So could it be possible to highlight where the port is going to be placed? (I know, most of the time, when you are sending ships over a sea or big lake, this doesn't matter.)

+1 from my side as I had the same issue once. However as far as I know there is already work in progress to indicate port spaces with a symbol (anchor).

A port space indicator wouldn´t help here if there are port spaces on either side of the river. +1 from me as well for additional highlighting of the space the ship has found face-smile.png

That's actually a separate issue from highlighting port spaces in your already conquered territory, so I think that we should create a new bug report for it.
