Mir kamen ein paar neue Ideen, habe sie getestet & bin begeistert:

Habe zunächst ne Karte erstellt, auf der alle Spieler auf dem alten Kontinent starten, eine relativ kleine Insel. Dann gibt es 27 Inseln zu entdecken, alles auf einer 112x112 Map. Was zunächst nach viel klingt läuft schnell in einen spannendesn Entdeckungskampf aus, da man fix von einer zur nächsten Insel expandieren kann und so mehrere Gebiete einnehmen.

Sie sind so geschickt gemacht, dass alle Inseln zusammen per Land in der nächsten Spielphase zu 3 großen Inseln verschmelzen, hier gibt es nun super spannende, abwechslungsreiche Kämpfe - tiefe Stratgegie, da es Inseln mit Eisen gibt, Flächenmäíg große wenn man expandieren möchte oder Platz für Bauernhöfe braucht, jeder Rohstoff ist so gesetzt, dass man sich tausend Gedanken machen könnte welche Insel nun besiedelt werden soll - es macht tausend mal mehr Spaß als alle Karten, die ich bisher gespielt habe.

Nen epischen Win erringt man, wenn es dir gelingt alle 3 Inseln einzunehmen und auf ihnen zu herrschen, das ist wirklich nur mit sehr viel Strategie und Taktik möglich. Wer Lust hat zu spielen, schreibt mir einfach ne PM face-smile.png die Karte befindet sich in den letzten Testphasen vor der Veröffentlichung.

I got some new ideas, tested them & I'm thrilled:

First I created a map where all players on the old continent start, a relatively small island. Then there are 27 islands to discover, all on a 112x112 map. What sounds like a lot at first quickly turns into a thrilling battle of discovery, because you can expand from one island to the next and take over several areas. They are so cleverly made that all islands merge into 3 big islands per country in the next game phase, there are now super exciting, varied battles - deep strategy, because there are islands with iron, large areas if you want to expand or need space for farms, each resource is set so that you could think a thousand times which island to populate now. You can win an epic win if you manage to capture all 3 islands and rule on them, that's really only possible with a lot of strategy and tactics. If you want to play, just write me a PM - the map is in the last test phases before release.

You are welcome to open a bug on Launchpad if you want so that you can attach the work in progress map. That will be easier than sending PMs.

Some ideas for changing that map:

  • Finding all spots where it is hard or impossible to expand and making it easier (notice that opponents can make expanding harder with foresters, if mountains make woodcutters impossible it could be also impossible to expand over the mountains)
  • Giving the sea equal height (just for optical reasons)
  • eventually: change number of artifacts to something like 15 (or 12). each continent could have 5 (or 4) artifacts then...
