The Map Editor got corrupted too after the crashes. 512 x 96 the biggest map size now. minimum size is 64 x 11.

Iv'e also been getting this error message recently: Win 8.1, 64 bit, build 7519, 256 x 256 map (home made, quite a few islands) and literally thirty minutes into the game (I rolled back to an earlier autosave that seemed to be okay)

economies: player 1: stream ended unexpectedly (0 bytes read, 4 expected)

Could you attach the map and a savegame to a bug on Launchpad?

I resolved this issue - if I make a map of many islands, and lay down roads on one of them before creating a port, I don't pretend to know the code but it is counting this as two (or more) economies but with no warehouses/ports to service those economies.

It's fine throughout the game, but once I have saved, exited and restarted, then any unconnected economies throw up this error with the relevant number in the error line. So now I don't exit until all my economies are connected.

It would still bee good for us to have a savegame with the error though, so that we can try to fix it for everybody.
