I noticed this behavior a few months ago, but I could never be bothered to investigate into it until now. When a building is producing something, first it consumes the input resources, and then after a while it gives the product. I noticed that if you stop it after it consumed the resources, but before the product is made, it won't give anything, but the resources are still lost. at least, there's a window of several seconds when the resources are just lost. Was quite annoying, as my micromanaging strategy requires stopping the weapon smiths frequently, and I lost a heavy double trident that way. But the main reason it bothers me is pshycological: that's the one single thing where the old settlers2 is better than widelands. in s2, if you stopped a building it would still complete the working cycle and give you the product. And I think the game is supposed to work that way. I seem to remember it working that way in base 18, but not in the trunk versions (at least not in 7428) Top Quote |

This definitely should be investigated. https://bugs.launchpad.net/widelands/+bug/1442869 Busy indexing nil values Top Quote |
