Pry about Widelands

Hi, I posted this in the playing widelands, but I think its better suited here.The problem is that nothing happens after I have build two lumberjacks and cut down all the trees. there are no other buildings available, no advancement.. I downloaded from here on my eee900 w/Eeebuntu-NBR, but now it wont even launch, when I hit the exe-icon. Any ideas, maybe a better download or something?? please help, as I'm new with linux..
