eh, if properly balance it would not negatively affect the game, but still i don't see much gain in it. Top Quote |

The idea of getting density/weight of items into the game is good, but not in Widelands. Here we have to aim for building up, not making it even harder. If you want to see weight of items impact to the game, play another one (f.e.: Dwarf Fortress). We are trying to say that this idea doesn't stick to the Widelands. But in general it is a good idea. einstein13 |

This seems like asking the old question, "What is heavier a ton of feathers or a ton of lead?" A role of newsprint (paper) is usaully about a ton in weight, or in the house moving analogy a box of books can weigh as much as a chair. Wool is light per cubic metre but is unweildly to transport. A tree with the braches chopped off can weigh between one and 5 tons, dependant on several factos. Wares transport is nothing like reality, and it not meant to be real, it is indicative that time is needed to get stuff from A to B in much the same way as limiting the storage of wares to 10 at flags is to make players think about their transport system and plan better. All right, I have been convinced that everything is fine as it is. It was just a suggestion. I see now that it was not one of the best ideas I ever had Top Quote |
